What weapon will you be big game hunting with this year?

Sounds like you have the bases covered Barnes.

I'm going to get a 243 one of these days.

No, you always need at least one more rifle... :)

Maybe someday I'll get something with more punch than the 308 for things that might have me on the menu (though I don't see a grizz hunt in my future anytime soon, if ever).

CZ550 in 6.5x55AI and 70# Elite Answer for deer, black bear, moose if I happen to bump into one
Brno 2E .22lr and Spanish SxS 20ga for upland birds.
My almost 11yr old son will pack his R700 BDL SSDM in 6mm to try for his second deer...

I'm going to start with the .338 Twins for Elk season. Both new. A 338 Lapua Savage LRH and a nice little .338 Fed Kimber 84M.
Then ill move onto my TC smoke pole for the month of October for Whitetail.
If my whitetail aint done been shot ill take the .257 Bee for stand season so I can reach out there.
And then somewhere in there ill try to get out for moose with the Blaser R93 in .308 with the new Naturalis loads I worked up.
Somewhere in there geese will die as well. SBHII in 12.
Oh oh and the beavers! I will continue to destroy them at every opportunity with the XCR in 6.8. This is just required shooting.
And the coyotes. Lets not forget them. SU16 in .223!

I got a lot of shoosting to do Pa!!

This year I'll be hunting moose and elk with my Mauser 98 9.3X62 and my FN .375 Ruger. The '62 loads are 286 gr Nosler Partitions with RL15 at about 2400 fps. The .375 loads are 270 gr Barnes 3X with RL17 at 2700 fps.

I recently finished re-stocking the .375 with a decent piece of black walnut and we are shooting really well together.

To start; a Mathew's Z7 Extreme
In the middle; I'm thinking of trying out my Marlin 1895GS in 45/70 (or my Sako 85 in 338WM).
At the end; probably my Icon 30/06, or my M96 6.5x55 if I get a scope on it in time.

Nice. Needs a ebony tip and some irons to complete the Rigby-esq lines of the forearm.
