I think that's the issue we face as a community though, we do not have a better option at this time. If we could just stop arguing over it and try to work together better and see things for what they are, instead of infighting all the time over what is happening to us, we would be better off as a whole.
Pierre is certainly better on paper than Trudeau but that doesn't mean Pierre can do no wrong simply because he's the better option than Trudeau. We shouldn't put any politicians on a pedestal as a general practice, regardless of their party affiliation.
Pierre has secured my vote. Although I remain hopeful he fufills his many promises, I will not be naive enough to think he is going to fix everything that has been broken. Every modern politician in the world over promises on the campaign and does not fulfill the majority of things they said once they are in office. Campaign promises do not automatically transfer 1:1 to legislative action once in office.
I do genuinely hold onto some hope that Pierre proves me wrong once in office though, I would be thrilled to be proven wrong on that.
