What would be fair market value for a Savage accustock?

Hey guys, I am thinking of putting up my accustock for sale on the EE to save and get an XLR element chassis, I was wondering if I could get some input on what it might be worth. It is off a FCP-SR and comes with:

front bottom rail for attaching an atlas and quick detach sling
1 - 10 round mag,
bottom metal to accept accurate mags (same as ruger gunsite scout NOT THE POLYMER ONES!)
side bolt release model

would also be willing to throw in an accu-shot monopod.

Was thinking with all of this stuff a fair price would be around 500$ Let me know if I'm off my rocker or not, thanks in advance. I can also post pics if need be.

I would need to see it. If its what your talking about and its from the limited run that came out a few years back. The stock alone is quite coveted if its in pristine shape. But even used they go easily a any pawn shop that knows guns for 600$. Its arguably the most valuable part of that gun. Is it the all black one or the camo? They made less of the camo ones. I currently own a custom Savage 10 in a LSS chassis and not looking for anything else for it but if you post a pic and its what I think it is and in good shape. You may sway me...

I flipped the Accustock from my Savage 10TR for $100. Ranged once, essentially brand new, even had the original stickers on it unmolested. Differences were the bottom metal I guess, only took factory Savage mags (or those uber-expensive-I-don’t-know-the-brand mags), not AI/Scount mags. Seemed to be the going rate, maybe scrape a hundred or so more for the different bottom metal, and the rail. If you can get $500, that would be awesome.

I see that you are not eager to sell as you say you were going to post pics last night yet it's been well over 24hrs since your last post with no follow up. I was very curious about the stock but this unprofessional delay leads me to assume you have the generic stock and not the one I'm looking for. That being said, I agree with Donut. 100$ would be the most you could get out of it. With the other stuff thrown in for free.

Patience is a virtue but if you say you will do something. Its generally expected you follow up. With my lifestyle and schedule you can't expect me to sit around and wait. I hope you understand.

Good luck selling something with just a description. If you do post and its the one I'm looking for and in good condition. My price will be 100$ firm only based on I can't rely on your integrity and follow through. Life too short to waste time.

Besides, I can always find it somewhere else. Stay safe and take care.

Dude...maybe he's busy...maybe the dog or the kid had a problem...Deals are to be done in the EE, he asked for value, it doesn't appear he offered it to you to purchase...relax, your new here.

I'd be surprised if you got $500 for it but the bottom metal and mag make it worth something. Put it up for $600 and lower the price weekly till you get some interest.

I see you have a join date NOV2014, and you have two posts, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you have not read the rules regarding selling. Selling outside of Equipment Exchange is not permitted on CGN. Willybunch wasn’t posting a WTS (Want To Sell) thread here, as this is not the EE (Equipment Exchange) Forum. He was merely asking a question on what it would be valued at IF he were to put it up for sale. There was nothing unprofessional about his post, and if you are expecting “professionals” and ads with bright shiny pictures in every post in EE, you will probably not find it to your satisfaction to say the least, especially with your lifestyle and schedule, lol!

I got $100 for my plain Accustock that took factory Savage mags, not the scout or AI mags. His Accustock has different bottom metal and can accept Scout and probably AI mags and that bottom metal is worth at least $100, if not more. Further, he has the more desirable side bolt release, where as my accustock has the bottom bolt release, which is a right pain in the Arse that was not in high demand.

I said if he could get $500, that would be awesome, I didn’t say he should be asking $100. If you’re firm on $100 and you got a stock with the OP’s description, then I’d say that would be awesome. Not likely, but if it does happen, that would be awesome, lol!

Apologies guys as I haven't had a chance to update the thread, been busy cleaning up the house and trying to find an appropriate place to take a picture of the stock. Will try to get one up by EOW to give myself a couple of days in case I cannot get it done tonight. Sorry for not getting this post up earlier.

Lol this thread turned into a train wreck rather quickly.

Maybe... -.- But I think I got the answer I was looking for, thanks for the reply guys, as I said I will try and get pics up to give you guys some more reference but I think I am probably going to go with redshooter's advice and put it up and slowly reduce price until I get some interest.

Im not really sure what the hell is going on and doing this from my phone...

Oh, that’s a nice stock. I think you definitely should be able to fetch $350-400 for it, maybe more depending on market demand and availability. The cam on there is rare I bet.

If that comes with the Mag you should be able to get close to $500. I have a 10TR with the Accustock and mine is still on but I went with the Dark Eagle Mag so I could get a 10 rounder and that put me out $150 plus shipping. Now WalMart does not sell Dark Eagle Mags (being sarcastic here) so even finding one in Canada is a bit of a chore. Having the Mag and I am assuming new bottom metal would add more than $150 (mag alone) and I think with the nice finish and attached rail add to the value. As for the fore grip, sell that separately as the value it adds to the stock is probably less than selling it separately.

Cool beans, thanks again for all of the input guys I will definately putting it up for sale after the holidays was gonna use the money to put towards an XLR element but just saw the other day that KRG is coming out with a chassis for savages (believe it is called the alpha 180) so I will be putting money towards that bad boy instead, just need to see when it comes out in 2015. Again thanks for all of the input.

Are you kidding me? $500? Is that because you have one for sale?
I can buy a whole Savage rifle for $500 new in the box taxes in. And it's not an Axis.

Bottom metal and mag are what's attractive. Your not going to get a Savage rifle with this type of bottom metal and mag for $500, about $500 more if they still sold it. I think $500 is a stretch too, but it's not a bad set up. I had an FCP SR. I shot the rifle well off the bipod prone even though I wasn't overly fond of the stock. I wasn't enamoured with the Cam either, but it's not a fashion show for me. I'd part with a good chunk of change to be able to use AI mags if I had it to spare.

A Savage recoil lug is pretty easy to change...not sure if it applies to this model but it's a snap on a standard 10/110 action...once you get the barrel nut loose.

The rail and monopod are nice extras too.
