1964, 65, 66, 67 were pretty bad years for the 94. I forget how many years they produced the stamped lifter before they gave it up...
Was the lifter the only big issue?

From the current prices in the EE, $800.
I agree, it's not worth a penny to me... I wouldn't want that thing taking up space better utilized by a nice gun...
But some schmoe looking for a beater quad gun might pay $250.

It's a $300 gun, I'd say their as nice as a T3 or A-bolt. The pre-64's are fantastic rifles, nicer than current production Ruger 77's and #1's.
Those are some bold statements. Listen, my source got sent to the hoosegow. Where can I get some of what you're smoking? Hook a brother up?
Compare them side by side sometime.
The question is not, what do you think it's worth to you, but what would it sell for.
At 400 shipped, that gun doesn't last long on the EE.
At 350 shipped it's gone in minutes I'd suspect.
Compare a new ruger to a 70s era winchester 94?
The ruger comes out on top every time.
As a lefty I can say all 94's stink.

This statement is ridiculous... "apples to oranges" to begin with.
I am a lefty too and a 94 suits me...............................
