What would you Do?

Get some cover scent, set up somewhere that you can see the scrapes at maybe 50-100 yards. Rattle him out. As for the little guy, leave him be, he'll either live or die.

Leave the veal for the yotes! If he was that badly beaten, meat probably wouldn't have been any good.

if the big fella is on a hot doe nothing you do is gonna get him right now...
be careful you don't burn your spot by spending too much time there...
a doe decoy(I use my 3D archery target)and some estrous scent in a few days might do the trick once he's bred that doe...
good luck,hope you get him!

I think I answered this in your other thread, but what the heck. Branches Will set off the camera, as will brush and anything else that moves in front of the motion detector in your camera.

As for batteries, that depends on which brand camera you have.

Just my luck i got pictures of some of the other deer in the field, turns out there are some huge bucks in the field, anyone of many that could have killed the little buck (he did die found what the coyotes left behind) but all the big bucks are mules, didn't think the deer would share terirtory like that.
