What would you pay for legal full cap AR15 magazines?

I think that argument has already benn tried and it Failed

The arguement failed at the time because Remington advertized the fact that the gun was designed around M-16 mags, and the mags were made on the same tooling.

Armedsask seems to be working on one half of that issue by using all new tooling. The second element will be harder to satisfy. He'll need to convince them that while the CFC have found the 7615 uses a mag well adaptor to use the M-16 mag, his own mag was designed specifically for the 7615.

as long as the mag only fits the 7615, the fact the rifle was designed to take AR mags is a moot point. if the mag only fits a pump gun, then there is no way they can rule it being a semi mag.

Not only is it not a MOOT point but from what I read it is it the only point. I maybe wrong but from what I understand, beacuse the 7615 was "designed to use the same mags as an AR15", the RCMP has determined that all mags for the 7615 are therefore designed for the AR15 and regardless of what is stamped on the mag, they are considered AR15 mags.

But in the case of the CX4, the mags were in fact designed for use in the Beretta pistol and are therefore pistol mags.

What we must do is design a bolt gun that uses a .223 mag that is designed for that particular gun but happen to also fit an AR.

Just a thought: when the liberal media is going to find out shooters have found a way to use hi cap mags in these horrible assault rifles, don't you think they are going to ask for much more stringent laws ?

There's the catch. It will be legal to own these mags, but still against the law to use them in an AR....thus my point, what's the use?

No it is not... the mags are regualted the rifle is not. you can use a 5000 round belt if one was available and would work in an AR.

So, from what I understand, the mags for the 7615 are deemed to be AR15 mags. Therefore logic would dictate that the proposed mag for the bolt action is still an AR15 mag. Why not design non-AR15 mag and an adapter that would allow the non-AR15 mag to fit in the AR15? Then when the police come you can remove the mag adapter, throw it in the bush, then let the officer explain in court how the magazine fits in your AR15. Bottom line is - your probably going to have to explain yourself to a Lieberal Judge - just like Bruce M.

This point was clarified by Powerwagon's idea of making the mag unable to fit into a AR15, unless the lower has been modified. There's no law against modifiying your gun.

not trying to hijak this thread but no sence in starting a new one. if somone was to remouve the gas system and get a bbl with not hole for the gas could you then not have a non restricted single shot ar?

What the hell is all this talk about using the 7615? Did you guys miss the part where any mag for the 7615 is an AR15 mag? This is the whole reason I'm going to make a firearm of entirely new design.

Try to follow along, people.
