Whatever happened to Baikal?????

Perhaps I'm missing something. In terms of exports from Russia to Canada, what embargo: ours or theirs? As I understand it, sanctions imposed by Canada are for certain "named people" and related entities.

Ours and the US since 2014. That's why you can't find a new Russian firearms anywhere, including airguns. It's not because everyone decided to stop selling them in Canada and the US. Only places you will find any is if someone has stock that they didn't sell.

I really miss them. I have a few now but always wanted the single shot rifle in 7.62x39.

There's one on EE, does search for 7.62x39

My Baikal MP-221, 45-70, seems well made, in the Russian "calculated crudity" sort of way. So far it has gone bang every time I have had it out. It's great fun to shoot, and I will likely not get to Africa any time soon. Not a gun for the elitist safari crowd, but a serviceable unit, nonetheless.

Not sure about embargo or anything... but dealing with Russia (at best of time) can somewhat of a challenge.

I had the MP 153 and the 155 at 1 time and they were tanks and sold them to people that very very keen to have a Russian gun. I have seen quite a few O/U as of late for sale..
Am looking for a good SXS as well from Baikal

I have a Camo MP 155 in 3-1/2" 12ga and I've never loved a shotgun like I love that one. The thing never jams and I paid like $600 for it brand new. It's also crazy light.

I still have a semi 12 that never fail to function. A sxs with outside hammers. And sold a couple ou, sxs, and a ou sporting.
