A friend of mine bought a 10-22 just before christmas. Put 400 rounds through it the first day, (Remington golden bullet) only one FTF, and cylced amazing and smack on at 75 yards with irons.
Any other .22 semi available.
I really enjoy the TOZ99 I got.
If you don't want to tinker, I'd buy one of the 10/22 variants. VQ as was suggested or a Magnum Research. Just the aftermarket magazine selection make the 10/22 worth having.![]()

Marlin 795, fits your needs, I have one it has over 500 rounds through it, only 1 FTE other than that it only stopped for dud ammo. It is far more accurate than the 10/22 and considerably cheaper.
+1 i love mine too. I won it at a 3 gun match. if you're intereted it's for sale you can send me a pm. I'm not in a hurry to sell it, as it is a good shooter, but i already have 4 .22's. while you can never have enough rimfires i'm kinda thinking i may be getting close lol.
My 10/22 loves Remington thunderbolts

I agree with the above...Marlin 795, fits your needs, I have one it has over 500 rounds through it, only 1 FTE other than that it only stopped for dud ammo. It is far more accurate than the 10/22 and considerably cheaper.
I agree with the above...
However, IMHO... the stock 10/22 is very accurate that that its accuracy is more dependent on the user.
Anything will be accurate at 10 yds.
What's better than a 10/22?
NOTHING
Well....except for the T/C Benchmark (everything that a 10/22 *should* be. Right out of the box) and the Browning Buckmark rifle (the coolest semi on the planet)
Don't let the lemmings convince you otherwise: there are FAR better semis than than the 10/22 available.
When they start making 25-round magazines for the T/C, I'll agree & trade 2 of my 10/22's to buy one !
