here is my basic set up for 95% of my hunting. i use this set up for sheep and moose in the yukon to deer and antelope hunting on the praries in sask. i like a big pack so i can pack out any deer/antelope/ram in one go and not have to go back and get a pack or other means of getting game out.
here is my pack with every thing in it.
here is my base set up.
i have the fallowing things in there
-camera in a pelican case
-knives, knife sharpener and scalples
-tags/hunting licenses
-flash light
-predator call
all go in the lid of my pack.
in the main bag
-a sealine bag with the fallowing in it
-a 500ml nalgene with fire kit in it. matches lighter fire stater and some duct tape wraped around
-small first aid kit
-gps in water proof bag
-tp
-change of socks/extra long underwear if it is cold out or there is a chance of overnighting on a mountain
-light wieght rain gear
-down vest
-spotting scope with tripod
-water bottle
- heavy duty garbage bags for keeping blood out of my pack
-extra ammo
-bag lunch/snacks
this set up is just for day hunts not backpacking, i do have room for all my backpacking gear if i am doing a backpack hunt.
