Guys, I have a family of 4 skunks under my shed. Tried everything to get rid of them, what would be the best rifle and ammo within city limits. Need serious responses DOHHHH!:HR:
I have a M14 but maybe a bit too much for those critters:runaway:

Frozen paint balls fired out of a cheap walmart paint ball gun ;)

Worked for me and dint have to worry about some wiener calling the cops for discharging a firearm within city limits.Oh and after just grab a shovel and a burlap sack lol.

Seems like a troll post.
Discharging a firearm in city limits, without a permit?
..... And for the rest of you answering this trolling post;
This is a public forum.
RCMP, CFC, CSIS, Windy Wendy, anti gunners all use this. Although this maybe a joke/troll thread, keep that in mind.

Killing them is easy, it's the stink that you have trouble getting rid of. The smell is a big consideration.

You might live trap them then drown 'em in a garbage can full of water.

You might be able to lure them out with food, canned tuna fish works good, then seal the holes in the shed and hope they move elsewhere. Make sure all of them are out before sealing. Also make sure there are no open holes under other buildings.

It was just a bit of humour to end the day folks, relax, be HAPPY! SHISH!
Some people and with reason, get upset about discharging firearms within city limits. That's not something I support or would do either. Not trolling here, just looking for solutions to an age old city problem that no one takes care of. Not about to kill the poor thing with a firearm and definatly NOT within city limits. I also have to check for the Skunk disposal season and permits required. Hired an exterminator to live trap them, he took them 2 kms. away and, they came back. Just very frustrating! HELP!!!!!!!!

Not trolling, eh???

BTY, the tomato juice thing is a Myth! Believe me!

You need;
1-950 mls. of Peroxide
2-1/4 cup of baking Soda
3-1tsp. of dish soap

Spray liberally over your whole body after an incident. Tested and proven by many, CAUTION! you may get white hairs all over your body, but better than the SMELL?
DOHHHHHHH!

#110 or #120 conibear trap will fix the problem...that and a shovel.

Got it! #110 or 120 conibear, dont know for sure? Will look for that if legal and available? I have a shovel, but dont want to get that close and personal:D
The drowning option is also interesting but would rather move them to the next province if possible.:D
On the other hand, can you not get a quick and ethical kill with an air/pellet rifle, that would be legal within city limits?
That's what I was really asking about i.e. best rifle and ammo within city limits. TX for your responses.
I know, its a bit of a strange subject for this forum, but , there must be another way? Tried everything under the sun so far. Seen pellet guns that do a great job on Varmints, not sure if they are legal in the CITY?

Stay clear of the body grip traps....you might kill someone's pet by mistake and it's probably illegal anyway within city limits. I've always used mothballs to dissuade skunks, tomcats, and damn near anything else that is or is thinking of taking up residence under my shed. Just toss handfulls under....and wear gloves. You should be able to pick up a couple of boxes at your supermarket, hardware, or dollar store.

Call your Bylaw/Animal control people and get some traps. IDK what they're called, but what happens is that the skunk enters the trap to get the food (the trap looks like a tube about 6" to 8" in diameter) and then can't get back out.

Since a skunk has to raise its tail to spray, and the tube prevents the skunk from raising its tail, the skunk is caught and can't spray.

Have the Animal Control people come and take the skunk(s) away. Hopefully, FAR away!!!

What about the dumbeasy way?

Take a large plate-shaped item, put an egg in the middle (4 in your case) and put antifreeze on the plate, since the skunk will think the anti-freeze is the juice from the egg... Erhm you know the rest.

Also: you can get sentenced to jail in canada for purposely poisoning someone/something so don't get caught doing it or... Erhm you know the rest.
