hi points are prohibited?
damn i missed alot of stuff during my hiatus
I'd save up a bit, and get a decent 9mm
Why not? As mentioned, I do not care about looks which seem to ad a lot of $. Someone I know in USA owns a Hi-point which was purchased for $160 and he loves it more than his expensive guns, which are actually less accurate.Any particular reason you're looking for a pistol that costs less than a case of 9mm?
I have had a bunch of "budget" pistols. Norinco 213 goes for $150 or so usually. All of the other norinco 9mms go for about $250 used. You get what you pay for. If you're budgeting $300, I would say budget $400 or thereabouts instead and try to find a lightly used Girsan. They're a Turkish copy of the Beretta 92FS and they're great.
In what sense would it be better?A $450 SD9VE or PPX will likely serve you much better than a $300 Star or Tokarev.
I believe because of the barrel which is only 3.5"

The title of the thread is "What's the cheapest 9mm handgun?". Not "What do I really I want?"Do you really want the cheapest pistol money can buy?
