Whats the hardest kicking gun you ever fired?

When I was 16 I bought a Fox BSE SXS 12 ga with single trigger. It had a nasty habit of doubling on me....Ouch! Made a mess of those grouse too!

Has anyone ever fired a .505 Gibb's? I have heard with Varmint sized bullets they kick like a 410.

.338 in a light Sako reminded me of when a 79 Grand Marquis T-boned my volkswagen
T-boned your VW!!
I feel for you, man. :(
Kombi is the what we call VW buses here in Oz.
And talking of Sakos, I shot a mate's Sako stainless/synth 300 Win Mag once and all it had for a buttplate was a thin hard rubber strip.
I've shot a BRNO 602 .300 Win Mag, a CZ 375 H&H and a Marlin 1895 45-70 since then and NONE of them were as mean as that Sako.

Mossberg 835 Ultimag 12ga w/3.5" BB copperplated Fed Prem loads. Wanted to pattern it off a bench for coyotes with a turkey extra full choke. Thing damn near knocked me off the stool!!

FNC1A1 - I was 16 years old and the RSO was an old shooting buddy of my (now) husband.

The b*stard made me shoot the whole 20 round magazine with the gas regulator on zero. Apparently, they liked to do this to newbies who didn't know any better

New England arms 10 guage 3&1/2 with 3&1/2 mag turky loads!

Three shots and he was gone!!! Old westinghouse washer guted like a Raptor had hit it with 20 Mil!

My shouder has never felt such pain!

Bob:cool:

My first center fire to shoot was a 7mm Weatherby, it hurt, I wasn't expecting that.

The 375 H&H Interarms was a kicker also using 300 grain round nose bullets

However my 340 Weatherby using 250 grain bullets took a bit of getting used to, it can bite when your not paying attention. I have got it figured out now.

hard kicker

I've got a Remington 700 classic in 8mm Mag. The rifle is quite light and it has a terrible factory recoil pad. I find the recoil pretty rude when I use stout loads. I even have a nice scar on my forehead to prove it!!

Marlin 1895 Guide gun with 405 gr handloads pushing 1900 fps. Kicked like a mule - up and back and everywhere else too. No scope, thank God, or I'd have a hole in my head. But if you ever needed a gun and load to save your butt from an a** chewing, it would be the ticket and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't notice the 70-some ft/lbs of recoil:eek:

a doubling .470 nitro express - funny thing was that after it did a few times while i figured out the problem with it, i kinda got used to it. I am telling you, that once you get hit real hard, other guns feel like nothing. You may now flinch and shake and scare yourself, but the actual punch is less then the anticipation.

Some years ago I was on a course. part of the course was firing guns. I remember this guy had a collection of black powder african hunting rifles. all were break action . The one I fired I think they called it a 910 nitro express. cal was about the size of a 12 gauge side bye side. dam thing weight about 24 pounds. I leaned into it but still took 2 steps back. But I know why they had gun bears

now why will that primer not sit. Ohhhh got to take the old one out first. thanks honey
