Whats the hardest kicking gun you ever fired?

My H&R Pardner single shot 12ga with a box of 2 3/4" steel shot from 1986. That stuff beat the hell out of me and was the dirtiest ammo I'd ever shot. 7.62x39mm corrosive included. Usually I can shoot box after box of 12ga, but I couldn't even make it through a box of this stuff. I still have a full box of it that I plan on sometime running through my cylinder bore 870 because it's got a bit more weight in it to tame things.

How can I complain though, it was on clearance sale at the local cambodian tire for $4 a box. Even if it does have the recoil of getting hit with a Mack, how could I leave it in the store for that price?

It was 25 or 30 years ago, but the hardest kicking gun I ever shot was a 458 Win Mag, from the bench, in the summer wearing a T-shirt. It's was a Rem bolt action, and I remember it was kind'a light for a big calibre rifle. Anyhow, I fired about 10 rounds sighting it in...., and yes,......it hurt.

She's got a bit of kick.

Ruger No 1 in 300 Weatherby, firing weatherby loads. It was my uncles and I was 16 at the time. Boy did it hurt. I still cringe a little when I see it . That was 20 years ago.

Traditions Pursuit muzzle loader. I was talking to my spotter while I put the ram rod in the cradles, as I thought. Turned out I put it back in the barrel. Worse than pulling both triggers on a side by side.

Old double barrel, double trigger, exposed hammer shotgun with 3" slugs in it. What I didn't know ahead of time was that one of the hammer/trigger assemblies was a little "touchy". I pulled the trigger for one barrel, and the other barrel went off a split second after the first. Nothing but a steel buttplate on it of course ... left on heck of a bruise :p Recoil from one shot is manageable, but when you are halfway through absorbing the first shot, and are hit again, that's a whole new experience.

single shot 10 ga,but the one that hurt the most was a rem 700 in 7mm mag in factory wood stock,Canged stock to a B7C and it was like shooting a .243 go figure

375 H&H in a Sako L61R.

Factory loads and brutal. The scope left a small mark in the eye brow area. I have since sold the gun and bought another Sako in the same caliber but this time will probably have it magna ported and install a limbsaver recoil pad.

I shoot regularly 300 WM and find it to be somewhat comfortable. I have a 338 WM but have not fired it yet - can't wait to see how it will compare to the 375. I also acquired recently a 300 Weatherby Magnum and might convert it into a 340 Weatherby and this should be interesting.

You sold this gun to Epps didn't you? Damn you Damn you to all to hell ;)
I bought the hard kicking Mule from them. Sure wallops the shoulder with 80 gr of IMR-4350 behind a 270 gr bullet.
