Whats the hardest kicking gun you ever fired?

A .450 Rigby that I used to own, guys shooting their little black guns at the range said the shockwave when I fired it shook their skulls (which made me enjoy it even more :d). But to be honest I found the recoil to be quite manageable.

I hope to have another .450 Rigby within the next year to replace it.

Strange, never found it bad with them. I own a Jungle Carbine and I find the recoil light. Kicks just a bit harder than my No1 Mk III, but not much. Now on the other hand a half hour ago I just fired my Cooey 840 single shot break barrel in .12 Ga. Those four 3 inch mag BB rounds had a stiff kick to them. It broke the darned plastic forestock spacer. Now I gotta find the metal ones somewhere. Plus a bead front sight for it. Lost that too firing the first round. LOL

Hardest kicking rifle for me was a .505 Gibbs a buddy owns. Ginormous recoil. I've fired .458's, and most of the other really punishing African game rounds, but his Gibbs has absurd levels of recoil.

Barrett 50 Cal, thank God for the brake and 6 inches of foam lol, still bruised

Really? I have found the Barrett's I have fired to be quite manageable compared to other guns.

If you really want to take a wild ride, shoot a bolt action .50BMG without the muzzle brake... I guarantee you will only ever do it once...

I love shooting clays with my buddies SP10. I know it's not a .505, but man it makes be laugh. Something about recoil with a moving target makes me giggle......... in a precision rifle it scares me!!!

I didn't find that it kicked all that hard. Do you mean the M82A1?

Hardest kick I ever felt was from an FN-FAL, after someone had loaded a grenade cartridge into the mag on me as a "joke"

I don't suggest trying it

I touched off a 3 inch 12ga pump gun one time that whipped my head so hard I seriously thought it broke my neck for a brief instant. It was so violent my buddy beside me asked if I was OK.
Next in line was HOT (but safe) loads in my Marlin 45/70. 425gr cast bullets. Honestly made my nose bleed every time and gave me a fat lip pushing my thumb knuckle into my lip. I couldn't believe that the stock didn't just break.

and you kept doing it?

Rossi Coach gun with 3" magnums, very light gun with a very narrow buttstock and a tee shirt. It kicked more than my .375 H&H

I've owned a 375 H&H that I preferred shooting over the 3.5" 2 1/4 oz turkey loads that I used for my first few hunting seasons. They are the only shell that I've ever seen cycle a pump action, ejecting themselves on to the ground. They were awful, terrible percussion, muzzle blast and rearward energy. I got smart and started shooting 3" turkey loads a few years back and haven't noticed a difference on game.
