Whats the latest deal with T97?

With the LHG and FTU it's a great rifle. They are even coming out with a paddle mag release of you want. I have no issue with ergos now that the safety is by the trigger. Mag changes I find are good once you're used to it. Decent position to reach, press, and pull out.

Even with the upgrades the T97 is half the price of a Tavor with a decent trigger installed.

Thanks for not flaming me, Shawn.
I know I never gave the 97 a chance but the early ones lost me on first impressions. I have never played with the latest ones with all the doodads added on so I can't comment on them but there are enough 97 fans out there so maybe not all 97s are as bad as I thought! One can work any gun with enough practice but I still say the best guns are ones that are the most intuitive! In a perfect world, nothing beats an AR but we all knew that already!

I shot a buddies once and we found using LAR mags they had to be tilted just right or else the cartridges would smash into the flat where the feed ramp should be. It worked fine if the the mag was tilted correctly.

What difference is the serial range for 13###x vs 14###x? Are they made differently?

13### was hit and miss for the barrel gouge issue. Otherwise feeding seems to be random, maybe further in between with issues on the 14###.

T97 with FTU $1300
LHG $400

$1700..... Tavor $2600

Not quite half.... but still. I love my T97.

I paid $850 + 440 + 350 so $1640

Tavor 2600 new + aftermarket trigger so it's not terrible = $3100?

So are you saying the t97 trigger is way better than the stock tavor trigger? Because i haven't heard the best things about either trigger...$500is a lot of money for a trigger, but at least an aftermarket option exists...?

Yes I'm saying it's better, specially with the LHG installed. All I've heard about the stock Tavor trigger is it's something that absolutely needs to be done.

i actually used that method t_102, that dremel mod plus a little bevel around the chamber entrance, and making sure my mags are all "just barely drop free fitting" and i have 0 feed issues.

Good for you. Could you take a pic and show us? You may have did a better job than I did. What mags did you use?
