What's the most comfortable and natural grip you've found on a semi automatic?

I like the feel of the P226.

Just a question for the other 'nutz'

I like the look of the rosewood grips on the 226 Elite, but have never shot a 226 with them. Are they worth finding a set or should I stick with the stock grips?

Thanks

What size hands to you have? I have medium sized hands and I found the rosewood grips on my 226 Elite way too thick. When wearing gloves in the winter time, I wasn't able to get enough trigger finger to fire it in DA. Also, I found the rosewood grips quite slick ie. the grips were too smooth and slippery. I ended up getting factory grips and put a bike inner tube around it.
To me, the rosewood grips look very nice but are not very practical.

The ultimate is still the 1911, as far as new designs go the M&P is my favorite - the 45 M&P's grip is virtually identical to the 9+40's which is quite an accomplishment for a dual stack 45.

I have found the Browning GP35 to be the most natural pointing pistol for me... Until I picked up a S&W M&P, that is. Needless to say, my Sig P220 went out the door, and now I'm just waiting for my new reg certificate for the Smurf and Wesson.

I have always found the 1911 to be too slim, leading me to feel like the pistol is trying to walk around in my grip. I am one of the folks who feels that the 1911 was a good step on the way towards a perfect handgun, but the GP35 is a lot closer!

STI Ranger II. The combination of flat MSH, STIppled front strap (very grippy), and relieved trigger guard make it the most natural pointing pistol I have ever owned.

Glock..........Kidding :D

Probably CZ75 with a rubber grip. P226 and M&P are pretty good too. Good ol' Beretta always worked for me too

That's unfortunate, I also have medium sized hands. I like the fit and feel of my 226 and I don't want to sacrifice that for looks. DAMN! I really like the look of the rosewood.

A lot of guns have comfortable grips, us the question most comfortable grip simply for comfort or is most natural grip that naturally points the gun to the target?

If you take your pistol and close your eyes and point it at an imaginary target and its bang on when you open your eyes that should be the most comfortable grip for you as its simply the most natural.

For me, the most 'comfortable in my hand are the sig 226's and CZ 75's but when doing the above the sig I have to raise the muzzle when I open my eyes and the CZ not only do I have to raise the muzzle I have to move it left to be on target.

Now the Steyr M9 that's a whole different animal. Close your eyes, point, open and bang you are dead on target so for me in the end it wins as being the most comfortable as its the one Ican shoot most accurately with the most ease and the most accurate followup shots, I once shot a 3 inch group at 20 yards with my eyes closed just to the prove the point. Try this with all your handguns you will be amazed at how differently they all point with eyes closed and open. Great Question OP

I'd have to go with the browning high power. Best handling gun ever! I should of never gotten rid of it. My Glock 17 feels nice as well but the H.P. Was above and beyond!

1911, flat main spring with the finger cuts feel the best to me and points so naturally. I haven't found anything better.
