Whats the most expensive sks you ever saw for sale

There was one on gunbroker a week or so ago that went for about $1150.00 Some of those guys in the states pay crazy money for them.
I paid $250.00 for a unrefurb that included tax and shipping a few weeks ago and wish I hadn't of spent that much on it. Ive bought some nice ones since for $150.00 to $180.00 still in cosmoline. You just have to look for them.
I'm amazed at all the guys on EE asking over $250.00 for them especially after some have had a few hundred rounds down the pipe. There also the ones that have all the btt posts below the original post.

Just wandering how much some fully tricked out SKS's are selling for......could be fun, bearing in mind that there are so many bits to bolt on.
Or failing that tell us how much YOU have tied up in yours, ya dont have to tell us who you are, God knows we dont want the wifey to know eh.
Ive got 1100 tied up in my 400 dollar 305..stupid ...maybe but Im happy :)

This one is going for $1000 Firm

I have two on EE I am trying to unload. Perhaps my asking price is too high for the gun snobs, but I'm not desperate to sell. My reasoning for the price is 1) I payed more for them, 2) they are the rarer variety and I do not need four of them, so I stopped while I was ahead. Perhaps I should just lower the price and unload them to people with the NDP mindset who complain about paying over a nickle for a candy bar.

I think the Canadian gun community has gotten spoiled. $250 for a gun that is cheap to feed, easy to shoot, easy to maintain, and "Russian tough" is not too bad at all. Sure the trade off is wanting accuracy past 100 yards, but what do you expect. Also much of the shipments lately are NEW SKSes and the market has not yet adjusted itself for them. The basis for the pricing is "silver bolt" or "$20 more for laminate" which is totally off balance.

But I do agree, a modified SKS with crap all over it is way too overpriced.

and... anyone who uses "shooting" and "zombies" in the same sentence on this forum needs a serous reality check... or a life.

@EAVERMEAT,

"and... anyone who uses "shooting" and "zombies" in the same sentence on this forum needs a serous reality check... or a life"

Couldn't agree with you anymore!!!!LOL!!

My post was a little bit of a rant... so to keep in line with the thread. Most expensive SKS I have seen? Any on Gunbroker.

That's the first scope base I've seen with negative MOA (looks to be about 70) built in. Must be some super secret Russian sniper technology. On a serious note, I'd pay reasonable money for an Albanian SKS, East German, North Korean, Polish, or North Vietnamese. Also I can clearly remember Russian SKS's selling for upwards of $1500 but there were very few in the country at that time. I spotted a new Vz52/57 the other day - perhaps the most consistantly expensive SKS? Maybe not.

There's an SKS-D in the Black Rifles EE right now for an outrageous (even by the seller's definition!) $750.

The most expensive SKS in Canada I have seen is this one on EE

I remember offering him $180 and a link to Westrife. Didn't sink in.

Sorry, but I like to bring people back to reality.
