Shot my first nice buck with an Imperial 12 gauge poly cor slug...second shot,I missed with the first one as he turned to run,second went through the lungs as he was on the run....dad's Ithaca XL 900...she resides in the safe,forever...

43 Mauser: Carbine with Marble open sights (the Yuropeon 45-70), deer + moose + a couple bears over the yrs, my bush gun, cant stop using it. Although I reload 345gr FPs I still have some boxes of factory Dominion + Imperial 385 Plombs and they have dropped the big critters on the spot. For me I find the brass unique, but easy to load for. Recoil not as much as a 45-70.

I’ve shot a few gophers and magpies with a 25-20.

I took a doe with my 129 year old Winchester model 1894 in 30wcf a couple years ago.

Many years ago I used a borrowed Husqvarna rifle chambered in 308 Norma Magnum to take a 5x5 whitetail buck.

6mmRemington and 35Whelen. Neither are really antiquated but definitely not common. The 6mm was my main rifle as a kid and I used it well into adulthood for fox, coyotes, whitetails, mulies, elk, and sheep. Throughout my adult years I shifted towards 270Win, 270WSM and 7mmRM but my mainstay is the 35Whelen.

Barn rats with a Sako HB .222Rem loaded with H&N airgun pellets and a pinch of powder in a slightly modified case.
Groundhogs with a Sako Safari in 375H&H using cast bullets…and a Sako TRG in .338Lapua on gophers, many doubles and triples as a result of body parts becoming secondary projectiles. The things we do at least once to satisfy a curious mind…

This years whitetail with a 1895 winchester in 35WCF and many WT with a 8X63 swede
