what's the most useless gun ever

x2 for the Henry Survival, It is a total POS. ESPECIALLY compared to it's rivals the Springfield M6 and the Papoose. The Henry's fat stock and plastic barrel make me want to cry.

As for the bolt-action shotgun, it might not be as fast as a pump but the fact that people hate them so much means the rest of us can get a 12gg with adjustable choke for 120$.

Please add a poll to this thread.

This thread is getting kind of long and I fear that some people simply won't have time to read through it all. And it is still a very worthwhile topic.

To really enliven the discussion, and make it relevant in an on-going way, this thread should be edited to INCLUDE A POLL. Include as options the most-mentioned "useless guns" and let readers vote.

This is really kind of a weird question especially without any clarification.
There are many useless guns in certain instances but in other those guns are entirely useful.
Like for example a rem 700 300 mag may be entirley useful for 300 - 500 yard shooting at elk or moose, but when hunting for rabbiit is pretty much useless, and will get you flame here more than a whoper.

Some guys say semis are useless, however if you hunt for deer in central ontario in thick bush with dogs, a relieable semi 30-06 is hard to beat.

Hand guns are obviously lumped into this category as being useless and useful.

A better question would be...
Whats the most useless gun for hunting deer in the 50 - 200 yard range that you have seen people contemplate buying..... 600 nitro would top my list. :)

Dont confuse the Russian made SKS with the Norinco knock offs. Russian gun good Chinese gun bad

I'd really say no particular gun or group of guns is useless. Why? Because if we figure one or the other is useless then the govt. will deem it uselss...you all know what happens then...

any kind of bolt action especially when you shoot left hand oh and the browing bar the only guns i trust are the remington 7600 7400 750 742 they have never ever had a problem

Really???

Not knocking them but I wouldn't own one.
Too many of my buddies have them they jam a lot, especially the 7400 and 742 jams like crazy and forget about accuracy.

Well, in defense of the poor old sks, it's very affordable, fun to shoot, very reliable, and reasonably accurate. In fact, at our latest running deer shoot competition at our club I managed to get a respectable score with one. And that gun was off the shelf, no trigger job or scope. Not too shabby in my books. Kind of pissed off some of the old boys with scoped levers though. :D

Oh, by the way...the fact that just about everybody owns one says something too.

Any gun in the hands of a unpracticed, leadslinging dogger, with little to know ability to comprehend grammar, or the fact that "bush" doesn't "eat" bullets.

Oh, and the SKS.
