Okay guys, I know that I am violating the heck out of my own "I don't do values" policy, but this one has me beat in more ways than one.
Asking for a friend, what is a fair market value today for this rifle?
It is a Midland Model 2100 in .30-'06 calibre and it has been hiding away for a lot of years. It has been fired exactly 2 rounds (at the Birmingham Proof House). The action is clearly serialled and the Bolt, which is a Springfield type, electro-pencilled to match. Both numbers match the number on the original factory box. The action is still a little rough because it hasn't been worked enough to slick it up. It is a brand-new 40-year-old sporting rifle in 100% condition with nice wood. It is, of course D&T but has never had a glass mounted.
Is there a market for this sort of thing? What would you expect to pay for one? Alternately, what would you sell one for? I am stumped!
Thanks for the help.
