Whats up with the mania for hex mosins?

Me personally I prefer the look of m91's with the Hex, Octo, 6 flats and a round bottom or whatever reciever. I also perfer the sights and the early style bands.

As for shooting them at the range I'm every bit as happy firing a super nice oldschool m91 or a new crappy lacquered 91/30.

Mosins are a VERY well built and in my experience are very accurate nomatter what reciever they are assembled with!!

To a serious Milsurp collector Mosin's, Lee Enfield's, K-98's and all the other countries small arms are like Lays potato chips. (Bet you just can't have one). You are always looking for one that will fill a spot in your collection. Would I pay a premium for a hex receiver? Sure I would. A nice Remington or a Westinghouse would be a nice addition.
