Is it a sign of the times because of inflation or is it simply a case of supply and demand driving prices up. I would think the latter, manufacturers have realized they can pretty well charge whatever they want and the 'black rifle' crowd keeps paying.
I realize that AR prices have come down, and I'm sure that can be contibuted to Norinco and NEA offering good products at a low price point.
Pistol prices have also been coming down, ex Ruger SR9 for $399.
What do you think it will take to bring the prices down on all the 'new' offerings?
XCR $2300 +
KRISS V $1999 +
B&T APC9 $2600 +
Famae SAF $1999 +
New SG 542 anticipated $2500 +
Scorpion EVO Hopefully sub $2000
The only sub $2000 guns at this time appear to be the JR Carbine (Got a bad rap right from the start), Thureon defence carbine (ugly IMHO), Keltec SU16 and the BRS-99 ($1699+)
I guess we'll continue going broke for our love of 'black rifles'
