Whats with the 375H&H haters?

Myself and two guides I guide with with carry ruger m77s chambered in 375 ruger. Not that that means anything nut I find it is a solid rifle/cartridge combo for the money that I can put through some misery and not cry to badly about it. See alot more guys come up to hunt with the ruger than the HH. In the end they are both just brass tubes that both work great, blonde or brunette?

If one is to believe the 'Hardcore African hunters' ( which I am not...I tend to stay away from things that want to eat me )...double rifles are a thing to be sought after in 'The Big Show'.
375 Ruger in Doubles are a touch scarce, no?

I don't see the 375 Ruger double rifle market really taking off. Laugh2

I actually think that for a double rifle I would be more inclined to pass right by any cartridge staring in 3 and start with those that begin with .4 ;)

One question, three plausible answers . . .

Standard length Action vs a magnum length action, I don't understand how the standard length provides any advantage . . .

in this scenario, especially up close, i'd favour a winchester 95 in 405. in that pic that bear looks mighty close!

So, I was disappointed that a BC guy never mentioned just going to the 375 Imperial, but what can you do. Strangely the 375H&H contingent keeps being a steady player in the EE, I actually looked at pricing on the ammo, doesnt surprise me that people do an impulse buy, then bail on them, only 458WM seems more ludicrously priced, but usually there are no 458s in the EE.

Yep, that must mean that it's obsolete and people are dumping them...like the other obsolete and outdated cartridges that are always for sale in the EE. You know, stuff like .308, .30-06, .223, 9mm, .22lr and all the other failed ballistic experiments; people must be selling them because they're no good...or they're no good because people are selling them...or something....

Imperial magnums might be cool, but a bit impractical these days ! ;)
