Some people have emotional attachment. Some offer up guns to appeeze the wife and price them high enough so they won't sell..."see honey,i tried".Some bought them from small shops without doing their home work and they're just trying to get some money back. The list goes on and on.Bottom line, ignore these adds and wait for a decent deal to come along.

Buy new, search for deals, 9 outa 10 times you will walk away with the best deal you could have gotten either way.

Haven't bought a rifle or scope on here yet that I couldn't find new with reasonable price, with warranty and could touch before I paid.

EE is for display purposes only. Nobody actually WANTS to sell their stuff, so price it high enough and you won't have to part with it.

yeah, come-on, let it go, don't whine about it, just buy my s**te, say "I'll take it", put a happy smile on your face, send payment, and I'll ship it FAST!!!!!!! A Happy Day for all! or not?????

Step 1) If deal is fair, buy it.
Step 2) If deal is not fair, bargain.
Step 3) If bargaining does not work, thank him for his time, wish him luck and carry on.
Step 4) Look for other deal.
Step 5) If you still can't find what you're looking for, you're likely an ####### who wants something for nothing.

It doesnt hurt to politely ask a guy

"Hi I'm interested in ________ item. Are you willing to work with me on a price? Let me know, maybe we can work something out :)

Thank you, Archie "

If they don't want to work on the price then,

"No problem! Thanks for the time, hope you get what you're looking for :)

Thanks, Arch"

Do we really have to explain manners to people GunRunner???

forgot to mention -- I also come for the humor :)
man-a-live some of this sh!t craks me up

if you feel you paid to much - think of it as a cover charge like in a comedy club

thanks all:D

I have bought and sold a few things in the last year and have sold some items cheap. I usually try to price something to sell because really if you have to BTT ten times something is wrong, right?

I have bought things at a so-so price but because it was exactly what I wanted I paid. No regrets. I have also bought some items for a smoking deal.

You just have to do your homework.

I'm gonna give the OP a quick tutorial on the EE, just some things he may be unaware of.
1)all guns on EE are BNIB
2) all are rare or 1 of a kind
3)used guns have less then 10 rounds thru them
4)all shoot under 1/4" "all day long"
Guns like this are naturally gonna cost more then at "No Sale Sports"

-- ok all my guns old here on EE were

1) BNIB - brand new in begining
2) 1 of a kind - serial #
3) way less than 10rds thru them - but lots shoot out of them ( why shoot thru your gun in the first place ? )
4) 1/4" "all day long @ 2yds everyday
:xes come for the hight prices - stay for the humor

My local Can Tire is selling run-of-the-mill Russian SKS's for $380, and Stevens 200's for $480. Well, at least they're TRYING to sell them...

Yeah, i saw that.. they also have the mossberg chainsaw there for 479... (if we are talking about the same can tire)

I am going to go and ask them about price matching next time, lol.. might be worth a try.

This is the best post in this thread !!

Not asking anyone to lower their price ( and I have got some good deals also) , I would think that sellers would do a bit of research before posting an item at $300 more than current prices ..

I think it works itself out in the end. i saw some items for sale which were too highly priced in my opinion, so I looked, but did not make an offer. Sometimes the seller will lower the price. Sometimes, I have to make an offer. It is up to the seller to accept or not and the same falls on my shoulders if the person counters.

I prefer CGN'ers because, in my opinion, they are honest, which is refreshing. I will ask how it shoots, looks or history and people seem generally honest with me. Trade a rifle in a store, you will get about half it's value and in a week, it will be for sale at full market value.

With a CGN'er I will pay market value and the seller will receive full market value. That is the advantage and benefit. :D

crap ... while I spent all my time with you guys I missed a great EE deal and then this morning Ben Hunchak with his explanation made me laugh so much I spilled coffee on my camo pjs.. so Ben gets a 2 star humor award ....so now Im listing my camo pjs on EE since they have been impregnated with Starbucks coffee .. that is special scent control for hunters who need help waking up early :D

Properly EDIT YOUR EE ADs AFTER you have sold your item

Now I can understand people not knowing current pricing BUT could they not be given a test on How to Properly Edit Your EE Ads for Removal once sold

To edit your EE ads, go into your ad, then click on "edit" in the first post in an ad [not the BTT posts unless you want to edit them] then click "go advanced" to go into advanced edit. From there you NEED to EDIT your ad prefix [ie. WTS etc]; ad title and ad text.

To properly edit an ad for removal [ie. to "delete"] EDIT YOUR AD PREFIX from WTS etc to "Pls Remove". Then save your edit. Your ad will then appear with "Pls Remove" in the prefix and will be then removed [deleted] by a moderator.

YOU HAVE TO EDIT YOUR AD PREFIXES to "Pls Remove" when you want your ad removed/deleted or your ads will stay current/active in the EE and count towards your allowable limits per EE forum until you properly edit them for removal.

It is not enough to just edit your ad title or put "delete" or "please remove" in your ad title or text. You must edit the ad prefix. Moderators will not do it for you. Your ad will stay on the page until the prefix is properly edited to "Pls Remove"

I know I know you dont have to tell me d:h:
