Whats your best score/find/trade/buy when it comes to reloading?

2 boxes factory remington corlok 80gr 6mm for $30 a box
100 once fired brass in .244 for $30 an 12 were factory loaded still
2 boxes of Gevelot . 244 100 gr factory (yeah i wont be shooting them) for $20 a box
1 box of cil dominion .244 75 gr psp $30
1 box of cil dominion .244 75 gr sp $30

Might not sound that that big a deal. But for a 760 .244 owner with 1/12 twist ... I was pumped to find what i did !!!
To each their own ...

Local pawn shop had some scruffy worn out Lee Load all shotgun reloaders, I kept asking the guy if he had anything else but always said no. End of last summer, they have a 50-mile yard sale in our area and the pawn shop had a bunch of excess stuff lined up in the parking lot, so I stopped in. All half price of last tag, and there was a milk crate with a Lee Classic turret press that looked new, a few hundred 30-06 , 308 and 303 brass, and an old US military penlight. All for $40. I was like the guy in the Ikea commercial, Start the car, start the car!! Sold off the extra brass and kept the 303 brass and penlight. Then sold the press as I didn't need another anyway.

Had a friend phone me the other day and ask if I wanted some of his Dad's reloading stuff as he was cleaning up his gun room. His dad had passed away quite a few years ago and he was saving everything in hopes that I would teach him how to use it one day but now thought that's not going to happen so he hoped I could use it. I have done him a few favours in the past but I was not ready for what he was about to do for some pay back.
He met me for lunch and after I bought we went out to the truck and he had a box with 18 lbs of assorted powder and another with a whole bunch of misc components and tools such as a hand primer and funnels. I thanked him and asked him how much for it and he said buying lunch was payment enough.
The next day he called and said he had found a few other things and said he would bring them by to my work site. Imagine my surprise when he pulled up and in the back of his truck was two large rubber maid containers of 270, 308,243 and a few 300WM brass. He then went into the cab and brought out 2 large containers that held about 5000 misc 6mm,6.5mm,224, 270 and 30 cal bullets. I asked him how much do I owe him and he tells me he is just happy I can use them and that they are out of his house.
I'm still going through a lot of the stuff and sorting it find more treasures as I go. I have sold some of the components I can't use and when he gets back from holidays next week I plan on going over with the money I got for it and filling the tubs up with a bunch of goodies from the liquor store for him.

Bought a Rcbs rockchucker supreme kit about 4 yrs ago . Ended up costing me $299 after rebate and before tax. Around the same time , I bought a large lot of hornady .308 projectiles including, interlocks and sst's (approx 320) for $100. In the mix was an unopened box of 150 gr ttsx.

Twice members at my club had their reloading stuff for sale and the center of both ads was a Rock Chucker press.
Opening question: I suppose you are inundated with pick and choose at offers close to theft?
I'll take it all at $2XX and both agreed. Powder, bullets, brass, dies, scales . . . just too much to list.
I now have a 2nd press that is portable to the club and My son has a set up that will last him a long time.
After parting out the first deal the press was almost free.

Ordered 1lb of 4831sc and received an 8lb jug for the price of the 1lb. Checked my CC and yep still just the cost of 1lb. Sold 2lbs so it didn't cost me anything in the end lol.

I answered a KIJIJI ad years ago for a lyman turret press. I believe the guy wanted $175 for it. When I met the guy I already knew he was a cop (I always do a cursory name search on KIJIJI sellers so I can pick up on possible red flags!). With this in mind I was ready for a hard sell, you know the kind where the guy is adamant on his posted price and 'take it or leave it' attitude. Well, to much a long story short, I walked of there with the Lyman turret press with all accessories and spare pins in original box, Lyman powder measure in box, RCBS powder measure (NIB), 9mm die set and .357mag die set for......$120!!! On a weird side note, 4-5 years later I was watching the news and heard the guy's name come up. Looked at the video and yup....same guy. Big investigation and some very serious charges. Oh well, a good deal anyway!

Scored a RCBS Rockchucker in pristine shape with primer catcher and primer arm from a friend of a friend of a friend who described it as "some kinda ammo thingy". They were moving and wanted to move some junk they had in the garage.

$20 along with an RCBS Uniflow powder measure that I use to charge .223/5.56.

Yeah....a good day!

Lee 50th anniversary press kit with everything included, redding beam scale, extra lube pad, extra loading block, various neck brushes, case prep tools, and lots of pistol stuff I have no use for, all for 50 bucks! I put an ad out looking for a used press, guy called me, told me he bought a progressive press and just wanted to get rid of the other one. Best score ever!
