Anyone using the Steinert Superchrono?
I had one for a while, I liked that it could be used in any light conditions, or rain, and it seemed to be accurate. It gave velocities that I expected but I didnt compare it to any other type of chrono to confirm. They are a nicely made unit and simple to use. It has a large detection area and it never missed a shot. Everything I've read on the technology is that it is proven and accurate, but the downside of the design seems to be how short the space is between the sensors. Very easy to have it out of alignment with the bullet path and affect the numbers, just like any chronograph with closely spaced sensors. The other thing I didnt like is the display was a bit tough to seefrom the bench, I didnt have a remote readout and the display screen is on top so I would have to stand up if I wanted to see the velocity after each shot. I bought it to replace my old shooting chrony beta because it was so fussy to light conditions. Used it for a while then after reading lots of good reviews about ProChrono, I sold it and bought the ProChrono Pal.
