What's your deer gun?

I might use just about anything just to get some miles on a new rifle. Still, if someone said "gitcher gun" I'd grab my model 70 in 7 STW, built by Ted Gaillard. Things die when its around.

So many guns, so little time. The last three deer I've shot with an A7 chambered in 7mmRM, but I just purchased a 7mm-08 so I'm looking forward to trying it out next year. My deer arsenal also includes a couple of 30/30's, a .300 Savage, a 30 ott 6, and a couple of muzzleloaders. I'd probably have a few more if the War department let me!

I've used a lot of different firearms the ones I've been successful with. Cartridge wise, it spans a fairly wide group of older cartridges.

The SMLE 303Br, 94 Winchester in 30-30, and 32 special, 92 Winchester in 44-40, 86 Winchester in 45-70, and 88 Winchester 308 Win, Model 10 Remington Pump 12 gauge, 12 X 12 Baikal, 96 Swede 6.5X55, Browning Stainless Stalker 338WM, 16gauge Original Banermanized cap lock black powder shotgun that may have come here during the Fenian raids as a rifle. 30-06 Remington 7400 jam-o-matic, M10 Ross rifle in 303 Epps, M10 Ross rifle in 303 Br Ruger 96 in 44 mag. I've probably forgotten a few.

My go to guns today are a scoped 86 Winchester in 308Win, and my trusty 94 Winchester, in 30-30.
