I use a few brands. The CCI triple-shocks are great for marmots (woodchucks), the Federal GMs are great for accuracy.

I only use Winchester. Tried some of the rest and the "best" but most reliable and accurate to 200 yards has been either Dynapoints or 333 depending on which gun I use. I do not shoot short range (50 yards) but like more competitive distances and long range gopher shooting.

every gun has it's own likes and dislikes so I have averaged them all out to accuracy, consistency and price.

Anything by CCI.
I just plink and don't do any shooting that requires anything better then pop can accuracy.

If it goes "Snap, Crack, or Bang" I'm happy with it. after all it just a .22LR. I mostly buy cheap bulk from the States. Last Brick I bought was Rem. Thunderbolts $10 for 500 rounds

If I'm looking to clobber something (gophers, etc) then Winchester Power-Points. Full 40gr with a gaping hollow point that really hits hard. Fr range use, I really like Federal bulk packs as they run well through my 10-22. Remington Yellow-Jackets work well too

22 ammo

I like to shoot 22 quite a bit and I have several 22's to choose from. Mostly bolt guns. I have tried most all of the less expensive ammo that is sold in bricks. The one that works the best in all of my rifles is the Federal American Eagle in the 38gr hollow point.

when I was doing my testing for the ammo I wanted to stock up on i was trying to find a product that was less than $20.00 per brick

Now if I thought I could afford to shoot nothing but Win Powerpoints, that likely may have been my ammo of choice. But cases of it were not available when I was doing my shopping, and now they are close to $40.00 a brick.

My other Fav. that shoot well in my rifles is the 36gr Remington Game Load. I have tried the 36gr Champion and the accuracy in my guns was poor, so I was quite surprised how well these 36gr Remingtons did in my guns.

These are the two cartridges that I use to hunt gophers with, and after I have altered the hollow point with my Paco tool, and the ammo I take to the range when shooting a newly purchased rifle.

For target shooting I have only ever tried Lapua in the Super Club and the Master M series, and have only fired very few rounds of this ammo. The gun that shot this ammo the best out of my collection is one of my CZ's, although I haven't tried it yet in all of my CZ 22's.

I understand the Eley Tennex is a great 22 target ammo and at $183.00 a brick you would hope so. The other highly regarded 22 ammo is the CCI Green Tag, another product I've yet to try.

Federal in the bulk 525 packs for target shooting. Shoots the most accurate out of my pistol of the seven brands that I tested. Extra bonus is that it was also the cheapest.

I've been using the CCI target in the blue box, standard vel. 40 grn solid with a (moly?) coating. This is for my ruger MkII and bullseye shooting. I get it for 30 some a brick and it shoots as good as the eley and other match ammo. A little more than the bulk stuff but a real accurate load and fairly reasonable price. In my old cooey single shot the most accurate is the federal high vel american eagle 40 gr solid. cheap and accurate
