What's your favorite buttstock for an AR carbine?

This thread is still going?

The Dave Armstrong "Crane SOPMOD" stock was a kick ass stock 13 years ago. Its generally been supplanted by better stocks since then.

Magpul's CTR is a great small gun stock, while the STR has replaced the ACS for me in on my SR-25's, and heavier 5.56mm guns (which I've pretty much divested all of).

Nothing against the VLTOR (Eric K had some great designs that had to get around Dave A's SOPMOD patent), as Dave let the patent go, anyone can now make a stock with storage in it as part of the stock (Magpul and VLTOR etc had attachments do that), I just prefer the Magpul designs.

Stocks are a very personal thing, to me I have no need of a fixed stock. I do shoot a wee bit better with an A2 or PRS stock on a SR-25, but the fact they are pretty much useless with armor, or heavier clothing makes them a no go for me (and the PRS is heavy).

I think the AR15 stock is fine just the way Eugene Stoner designed it.
I think a lot of industry hacks are getting rich trying to reinvent the wheel.
If any of these aftermarket stocks was any good don't you think they would be incorporated into the design?

I'm really liking my troy Battle axe stock in black which I traded my UBR for. I also am looking to get a Vltor to complete my flat dark earth kit. My M14 blackfeather is rocking a Magpul PRS which rocks for a precision rifle.
