Whats Your Favorite MILSURP?!?!

Which is my favorite?????

Well let's see, some of them drive nails, some make me giggle when I touch them off and others are just plain cool.

In no paticular order my favorites from my collection are

Ross mk3
Bsa commercial no.1 mk3 ( Buffdog's match rifle)
Swede m96
Kropatschek
Snider
Turkish m38
43 longbranch regulated by AG Parker

In order of preference
Ross MkIII
LE No4
K98

It has nothing to do with which one I like best. Everything to do with which one I shoot the best.

For the most fun ever- it was a trip to Battlefield Vegas and a couple mags through a Bren. Unfortunately owning one is not in the cards.

Whoa! That Mosin is so hot it must have been on fire! ^^

SKS is the only rifle that I always take and always put at least 100 rounds thru every time I go to the range - no matter what else I bring!

Got most versions of military bolt actions in one incarnation or another.
Favorite?
Springfield Krag in 30-40. Slicker than catsh*t on a linoleum floor to cycle.

The FN49 or anything German, perhaps my German bias due to the 5+ members of my family that was in world war 2...in many different branches within the Wehrmacht from driving tanks in Poland to driving supplies to Stalingrad.
One day Ill grab myself a collection of lugers...when the wallet allows.

I will always remember when my grandfather told me about his fathers P08 Luger, he was an Officer of some sort within the 100,000 man army after world war one. he then brought the Luger in when came across into Canada in the early 50's.
Ended up giving it away to a friend several years after my father was born. Apparently he tried to get in contact with the friend after he found out I was getting interested in firearms and the history of my family. But apparently he "sold it"

Thanks for telling us about your family history. It is very interesting to learn what others experience was in any world changing circumstances.

I loves me my TT33.
It's such a dirty, simple, cheap, overpowered gun.
So cheap to buy and feed and it just always goes bang. I love the simplicity and lack of any real safety. It's truly the epitome of Russian design principles!

All Enfields
Lebels
Various MAS
