Need a wee ker-pow......

Ware'zs Gregory............errrrrrrrrrr..................Hoytzs with'izz 204 thing-ahh-maa-jigger?

Looky... the .204 will be a few weeks before it crosses the border... just using the .222, .223, .22-250 and .22 PPC.

Given the choices offered, I'd go .223. We don't have significant numbers of ground squirrels around my neck of the woods; if we did, I'd probably go...223! :)

Otherwise, I agree with Hoyt; the .22-250 is the one to beat. I've played a lot with .22Hornets, shot exactly 3 rounds out of a .204, and had a 30-year romance with the .222...all gone now, and no real desire to get more of any of them. The .223 does almost everything I need, and cheaply. The .22-250 does absolutely everything, and for not much more.

i went the other way. Sayanora to .223 and 22-250. But we have significant Gophers, wolves, coyotes that 204 gets the nod. I sometimes miss the 22-250, but under 5% of my shooting needs the extra punch.

If you are buying premium 223 or .204 or reloading for premium, they cost the same regardless. The .223 guys that believe it is cheaper are either shooting cheap .223 or not comparing real costs of reloading.
