For me it is the Stoeger 28 gauge sxs uplander. I don't cry when it gets scratched, and after 25 years it is still going strong. A 13/16 oz of #8 or 8.5 early season, and Winchester 1 oz #6 late season. It is chocked ic/mod with dbl triggers. Gun leaps up to my shoulder by itself, and just seems to get on birds as if by magic. 25 yards is a sure kill, 30 starts to push the bounds of clean kills. Early season shots are fast and close, and that is where this gun stands out. Others have come and gone, but the little 28 comes out of the cabinet every fall.....
