I fix furnaces for a living and two weeks ago I got a call that a furnace wasn't working in an older area of town. This was a WW2 era home that has one main floor and you lift a trap door and go down 4 steps under the home into a dirt basement and that is where the furnace and water heater are. After fixing the furnace I was looking around and in the corner of the dugout was an old 40's plumbers lead heater and a bunch of boxes. The homeowner was moving at the end of this month and the new owner didn't want anything and the guy said to take what ever I wanted from that corner. They had moved in 5 years ago and noticed it there and it has sat there for who knows how long.
To make a long story short I got a gasoline heater and 300 lbs of pure lead. The heater is cool to watch running, after I cleaned it up and put Coleman camp stove fuel in it , it fired right up. Here is one that is the same as mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vvg5Q8rIN0
