Where are DA/Grizzly shotguns made?

I'd buy one in a second if CanAm had the wood stocked ones available. Been looking around for a police wood set to put on one but no luck so far.

You will find the odd hiccup with the Grizz's... but again, where its made and the price paid is kind of expected in some aspects :D...

The Grizz I owned in the past had a few touches that I overlooked, but the inner gunsmith that was instilled into me at school lost his mind; it happens sometimes :yingyang:...

It basically came down to the pict. rail on the receiver was canted slightly, the bead sight wasnt indexed properly, and the bore itself wasnt drilled in perfect zero in relation to the OD of the barrel (Id HATE to be the 'smith to ream that for chokes:D) again NOT the end of the world, but the receivers were built like tanks, I was VERY impressed by the quality at which theyre made thats for darn sure! :D...

nice, do it yourself?

Yes , it's Alumahyde II in coyote brown. I put 4 coats and it's held up awesome. I've run hundreds of rounds through it and taken it through all kinds of terrain and it still hasnt scratched or chipped.. There aren't even any wear mark on the mag tube from the pump , totally worth the 20$
You just have to prep the steel like crazy

sandblast?

sandblast?

Nothing that drastic but you could , I just scrubbed every surface down with mineral spirits and a sandpaper sponge to get all the oils and grease off. It also will take all of the old finish off . Make sure not to touch any prepped surface with your bare hands as the oil from your fingers will void all of your hard work.

A buddy of mine had feeding issues with his mag Fed as well with certain ammo. My experience however has been with the regular tube fed version and it's never had a single issue. I like the idea of the mag fed, but for me personally, they felt too cumbersome for what I use it for and I need to be able to trust it's function completely. The tube fed has more than proved itself so far. It's too bad, because the mag fed ones look sick! I still may pick one up in the future just for fun lol.

I like the mag fed. I do. Where I struggled with it was the fact that topping up was a lot more cumbersome - not that I regularly get into gunfights where I need to top up, but the tube fed is a tried and tested design, and will continue to be. felt that there was less sh*t to go wrong.

Take off the heat sheild it made a big difference on mine!

there was no heat shield on mine!

Really? I know the sheild on mine kind of rubs on foregrip making it a ##### to rack withOut authority works like butter now

Thnx for the input, and sorry if i hijacked the thread. I'm going to get a Maverick 88 first, just did the pros and cons and the Maverick 88 is what i really need right now. BUT i will be buying a Grizzly secondly for sure, for back packing and such, The look of the grizzly is awesome and from what i've seen on youtube it's quite the performer. Happy Grizz'n to all you lucky owners!

I bought my grizz 8.5 for hiking and backpacking and then i realized it weighs just as much as all my full sized shotguns so it lost that job real quick but i have managed to have lots of fun with it, no problems at all
