Where Are The Buyers?

I just bought off the EE today! funny part is I bought something that I actually saw other people had WTB ads for! I guess they are just lazy!

I think there might be a correlation with a lot of expensive HIGH priced 'precision rifles' and 'pistols' on the EE with the 'oil price' flop. I see a real lot of adds of high end expensive stuff on the EE mostly from Alberta. 'just saying'

people working months straight and making HUGE paychecks and buying guns they thought they wanted but didn't have time to shoot because they work too much, now no work and don't have an dime extra to buy ammo.

I have listed and sold two guns this week...

I do think it is funny when a used gun's price goes up when the new versions goes up due to the dollar....

I remember when it was $1000.... like it was when you bought it.... just because the new pricing is $1300 now doesn't mean your used gun is $1100.

Edit: to be clear, I understand that prices fluctuate and used value fluctuates as well,
I am just saying some people take it too far.
Most ethical businesses will not raise the price of a 2014 item in inventory even if the 2015 model has increased.

I really don't care what people list their guns at... as has been stated before, if it is a good price it is gone in minutes... if not... btt....btt....btt...btt...

Some people are trying to cash in for sure.

If the dollar stays low for a few years though there is no doubt that a guy could get closer to what he paid for a "used" gun just because the cost of the new equivalent has gone up 30% or more.

Oh I agree.... However, some people take it way too far.

Folks can ask for however much they want and if someone is willing to pay it, good for them. I am not one of those people though it can be interesting to watch none the less. I have noticed there has been (or appears to have been) a sharp increase in items for sale. Nice stuff too! Just can't afford any of it right now.

I find in most cases that the people who ask the most for there product are the ones that don't want to pay anything for someone else's things.

As stated a few times here if it is priced right it will sell fairly quickly.

Buying new completely eliminate all possible imbroglios, for a few dollars more, worry free transactions...
Peacefull operations at it's best... JP.:)

I think the fear has caught up with anyone looking for a Restricted firearm... NDP and Liberals seem to be doing well in the polls and we know their stance on handguns and scary guns.

Everything I listed is about 25% off regular price (which is reasonable in my opinion) but I'm still getting low balled with offers for 50% off.

This is the best explanation, for one i got my money ready to be spent but wont do restricteds transactions before the elections, i am ready to defend what i own but not buying more until we know what we are up to... JP.

People who think I should buy there used crap for several hundred dollars off of new on a 3000$ item or save yourself the taxes are retarded I'm on here to buy hard to find stuff or something that is a great deal. You are always at risk sending your money to someone else online, I just got my first raw deal and it will take many many good deals/low ball offers being accepted before I get back to even. My seller/trade wasn't bad enough to fight over but you do not expect a 5300$ rifle to come rusty and with mismatched hardware, also the traded rifle from me is being sold as new even though he is at least the 4th owner. Moral of the story you should be grateful for every honest cash offer you get and should not expect people to pay top dollar when they are taking a chance on your used unknown to them rifle, I paid every cent that that rifle would have been worth new and will not ever make that mistake on here again so I guess I am a low baller since I find your save the taxes used rifle insulting.

I agree with you. I have had several bad trades/deals on EE and am very careful these days. I used to look at EE at least once a day now weeks go buy between looks.

I also have heard the Ontario takes weeks to approve a transfer. That means (to me) that Ontario is screwing over it's citizens due to GTA's anti gun views.
