I have not seen any posting or pictures or even questions on any of the well built 22 lr's from the 1930-1960 period lately here on CGN:confused:
Is it that I am a dying breed, in need of one more quality built bolt action:rolleyes: I was so desperate for a fix of good walnut a blued steel, indesperation I had to order a Cooper Custom Classic from the Cooper custom shop:eek:So now for the next year I will be on pins and needles awaiting its arrival! In the meantime I may get right nasty if I do not get a nice Mauser or BRNO:runaway: Please help this sick man, cheers Dale Z in T-Bay:D

PS please ask some questions on your fine guns so I can help you out info. on your 22 bolt, as I am Jones'in to help in reaseaching info on your gun!

AAAAwe! blued steel and walnut, I am in remision for the moment! That looks alot like a Kimber classic? What is the story on this nice rifle?Dale Z

There is something about ANNIES I just don't like, other than the American styled Sporters on 54 action, I have had alot of 64 actions, and the problem is they are way to accurate for a flimsy looking bolt action! Did you pick up a sporter 54 Catnthehat?

What are the chances of finding a CM-2 or Suhl 150 in Canada. Ideally one with no sights, and set up for a scope.

I hunt with a bolt action!
Its one of the guns my grandfather left me, ive yet to upgrade to something else. Works great.

The semi auto he left me is garbage thou.

This is a Remington Matchmaster 518-9. The semi was a Lakefield Mark 3 autoloader.

bolt action ftw

This is the kind of thread i can get excited about. I want to get a new .22 and am leaning heavily towards a CZ because of a smooth, quality action and nice looking wood. Keep em coming, maybe someone can sway me away from CZ.

Happy waiting. It gets rough but is well worth it in the end.

This not a Remington 518-9 there is no such thing, That, thaT THAttt is the most desirable Remington model 513-S!!! you hit the jack pot(only 13000 made!) buddy:eek: I have the same gun set up with factory installed peep sights, and i picked up a rare Stith scope and mount for this gun last summer. These have 27" heavier contoured barrrel and an adult size good quality walnut checked stock! If you want to upgrade I'll Take Her Off Your Hands so you can get a CZ! let me know ,but I must tell you it is rare! You had a great Grandfather who new quality these cost $50 back in the day!

About that nice Kimber you got, could I pry it away from you?:nest: It has to be the nicest Kimber in Canada that I have seen, I missed out on an older Kimber for $400 back ten year ago:runaway:

I really like to see the WIn/Browning 52 repose show up, this was the first quality 22lr I ever bought, now I own 6 original Win 52 target! shot my best standing 25 metr target with this Win52B repro 1 hole measuring .229:D

I am glad there is the lot of you guys who love these guns as much as I!cheers Dale Z in T-Bay;)

model 52's

I love the model 52 Reproductions. They are great rifles in their own right, and the fit and finish are fantastic on mine. Prying the Kimber out of my hands may be tough, but we all have a price.:cool:
