Where are the High End Bolt 22lr's gone?

Blacktail your right about the repos, I wish I would have bought the other 3 that sat along side my Win 52 at the time, but sadly I was a poor apprentice cabinet/stair maker at the time and had to trade a couple guns to get it! A Norc M14 and a IGA Uplander SXS 28 ga! i DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY wINCHESTER DOES NOT BUILD THE GUNS NOW LIKE THEY DID BEFORE! They still make guns in Japan, like the win levers, why not build 5000 target guns and 5000 sporters? makes sence to me, but I guess I am not an accountant or VP for Winchester? I like that you have atleast 2 WIn 52's welcome to the club!Dale Z in T-Bay!

Check your PM there a urgent message !!!

A bad picture of my ES350b Mauser circa 1936-37 or thereabouts.
My friend Silverback once shot a 5 shot, 1.1 inch, 100 yard group with it using PMC Moderators, off a bench.
When I ran out of Fedral Gold Match & Lapua Standard Club, by pure accident I found out it shoots Winchester Power Point copper plated very well indeed at up to 200 yards, with this steel Weaver T-10 Micro-Trac.
The only drawback is it weighs a ton, and the optics are not the best for hunting. (range gun)
IIRC, close to 11 lbs!

Sorry Zywina, the original stock needs serious bedding work right now!

Edit: I myself have been suffering from a small-bore defiency.
This was put aside by purchasing an A-Bolt Micro Hunter in 22 Hornet.

I have not seen any posting or pictures or even questions on any of the well built 22 lr's from the 1930-1960 period lately here on CGN:confused:
Is it that I am a dying breed, in need of one more quality built bolt action:rolleyes: I was so desperate for a fix of good walnut a blued steel, indesperation I had to order a Cooper Custom Classic from the Cooper custom shop:eek:So now for the next year I will be on pins and needles awaiting its arrival! In the meantime I may get right nasty if I do not get a nice Mauser or BRNO:runaway: Please help this sick man, cheers Dale Z in T-Bay:D

PS please ask some questions on your fine guns so I can help you out info. on your 22 bolt, as I am Jones'in to help in reaseaching info on your gun!

Where have they gone? I think somebody wanted to tell us that they have the ultimate rimfire on it's way! :)

Kidding, I think all the SR22 talk around here is making me wonder the same thing. I don't have the budget for a custom-build, but do have a soft spot for walnut and blued steel. The first .22 I bought was an Anschutz 1451, a model I'd really like to learn a bit more about. I wouldn't even attempt to guess how many rounds I've sent down the pipe with that rifle. I take care of my equipment (a function of not being able to replace most of it) and while this rifle is still about 98% mint, I find myself becoming very protective of it these days. It is a real shooter, but I realize, an econo-field gun as far as Anschutz guns go.

I currently have a real soft spot for my newest gun, a CZ 452 in .17 HMR. I literally think about that gun 100 times a day. They say guys think about something else every 20 seconds. For me, it's the CZ. :)

So with my strange, over-protective Anschutz issues...I decided to buy a Norinco Backpacker and have to say, it breaks my walnut/blued steel/quality .22 thing.....but there is something immensely satisfying about having/shooting a gun that's a bit of a "beater". It gets the same TLC my others do, I'm just not worried about it getting scratches or being rained on.

BRUTUS how can you stand that fine Mauser 350B inba awful stock like that! It is sacralidge! Mausers are only supose to be in nice walnut stocks. The rifle barreled action is liek yoiu have a tuqsedo and you put on bunny slipper and go out on the town! All kidding aside what is the major problem with the original stock? Can I help you out? I like to see you still have the Tangent rear sight on it still, Great gun, I am a little jelous! Dale Z!
22LRGUY, you are right it is hard to keep the excitement of a custom ordered rifle to myself !! I also have a CZ 452 in 17 HMR and they are so damb accurate, scary and very nice to look at, I put an old Stoeger fixed 8X scope in CZ ring/base set up! It looks as good as it shoots! I can shoot empty 12 gauge hulls standing at 80 yards with this gun consistantly, real tack driver! I hope you enjoy yours, Cheers Dale Z!

I would like to appoligize to Blacktail publicly for the mix up I has with him last night! sincerly appoloigize for keeping you up so late.sincerley Dale Z!

This not a Remington 518-9 there is no such thing, That, thaT THAttt is the most desirable Remington model 513-S!!! you hit the jack pot(only 13000 made!) buddy:eek: I have the same gun set up with factory installed peep sights, and i picked up a rare Stith scope and mount for this gun last summer. These have 27" heavier contoured barrrel and an adult size good quality walnut checked stock! If you want to upgrade I'll Take Her Off Your Hands so you can get a CZ! let me know ,but I must tell you it is rare! You had a great Grandfather who new quality these cost $50 back in the day!

Hahaha.. you know what? I actually went to the gun safe and looked at it to see WTF kind of .22 it was...and I still got it wrong! I had it in my hands!! Youre right its 513-S.

So its rare? You think? Ill toss up some pics. Im into youtube so i may just take it out and blast some zombies (4L milk jugs!) in a vid.

He also left me a .300 Savage and a single shot 16 guage Iver Johnson shotgun. I know these are both "good" guns too. That .22 Lakefield Mk3 Autoloader is a POS though, jams after 50 rounds and is annoying as heck to take apart/clean. Sights are gargabe.... I hate that Lakefield 22.

Anyway on to the Remington MatchMaster 513-S photos.... maybe ill stop using this like a "beater" gun and give it some respect.

Can Riech! don't stop using your 513-s they are one of the best handling rifles I have ever used, the barrel hangs so nice and with the 27" length is gives also a nice sighting radius! I am glad to see no moron had D&T'd that nice Rem!!!That is a $400 & up gun easy that is all original equiped! Keep on busting bunnies with her and don't let the Zombies get yah!cheers dale Z!

I also suffer the rimfire disease. My SVT40 addiction has replaced it for a while.

Don't forget the Walther rifles!! They've been a weakness of mine for a while now.

Very nice.
The KKM is the one missing from my collection. :D

I've got a KKJ (5 round mag), 2 KKJ-T rifles and a running boar model.

Here's a Vostock CM-2 First generation model. I bought this about a year ago now. It came with the sights. This was the Russian Answer to the Annie 54.

22lr Blue/wood

This is my second Weatherby/Anshutz 64 this one is NIB with test target, I have never fired it,trying to sell it on EE boards just no resonable offers.
I have found my dream gun a very minty Older model Rem 40x original with sights 27" barrel, but fellow wants big money.he,s bring it to range for me to try it, I feel my funds will be deleted big time guess you have to pay for toys that they don,t make anymore Eagleye tells me these older 40x really are extreemly accurate, I read where he rated them above the 54 annies & 52Win
