They can be ordered in from the dealers mentioned above. But based on the current situation of the Canadian dollar, be prepared to drop your pants with regards to price if you go that route. I would suggest keeping your eyes open for a used one. They pop up from time to time and the prices are very attractive. There is no mechanical difference between the older 48's and the newer ones. Some of the older ones are actually much nicer then the newer ones anyway. Here is a 20g from my Franchi 48 collection....
