it isn't. it's a tanker fantasy build. the guy did a great job, but it still makes me sad. I'd much rather have a nice full sized Garand.
Bubba strikes again!

They're out there, just need to look. Just rescued another Garand from bubba. This IHC was found sitting in a plastic stock but other than that was all IHC marked (except for the barrel). Was missing a few parts, now all ready to go.

MilArm has one for $1400...![]()
hi everyone, like the original poster, in the market for an M1. Seems like they are quite difficult to find in Canada.
First question: What is EE that everyone keeps talking about?
Second question: has anyone tried importing one from this site? http://www.thecmp.org/

Just on principle, a Garand with X-receiver and Y-bolt and Z-oprod and A-hammer and B-barrel is a junk pile to me. If it's not all the same then what's the point in collecting it? I guess it's a shooter but can it still be a real Garand? Or would it be a 1944,45,47,52,54 XYZAB US Rifle?
Virtually all Garands in US service were rebuilt or overhauled at least once and will contain parts which are not original to the rifle or made by the original manufacturer. All parts, regardless of maker, were interchangeable and were swapped out as required during military service. They are very much real Garands in spite of this. I have owned 50 Garands over the years and only had 2 that were all original when I got them. With patience you can restore most rifles to their original parts configuration, given an original receiver and barrel combination.
It's probably been asked a thousand times, I'm just too lazy to look in all the old threads. After seeing those Garand pics Hungry posted, I was sorta drooling. Where can one get hold of a nice rifle here in Canada (since the US are silly about allowing us big bad Canadians buy one down there)?
Be warned, they are like Lays chips...

WTB....M1 garand...I have 2000 dollars and not afraid to spend it!!
There.... this is how you buy a M1 Garand
