Just picked up the carry handle version of the Mossberg this past weekend from P&D in Edmonton. They had good stock of both the carry handle and the flattop. Both were cheaper by a few bucks than Cabela's.
Gave her a bit of a cleaning on Sunday and took her out to the range. Put about 200 rounds through her with a total of 3 failure to feeds (supposedly common till the mags get broken in), which were easily remedied...hold the bolt open, turn the gun over and the offending rounds fell out.
At 50 yds was easily getting 3-4" groups offhand, not pulling the trigger as fast as possible...but definitely quickly.
Decided it was definitely a keeper. Ordered a sling, front grip and a Leapers combat red/green dot for it.
It gets an A- on Gun Tests (which is very reputable)...better than a number of guns costing twice the price.
You'll read a number of complaints about the gun...particularly about feeding issues (which is usually mag related and is easy to remedy) and the plastic feel of the gun.
Thing is, as Gun Test found out...it is dead nuts accurate...more accurate at 50 yds than the Colt/Umarex and S&W at twice the price.
And whether it has a lot of plastic or not...it is well built.
