do you guys find it hard to get a 22 tactical anywhere in this country? im looking at a mossberg tactical 22 but cant find them or an sr22 or a remington vtr. any help?

There are SR-22's on the market place right now. Good deals with upgraded parts. Definitely worth a look. My brother got a Mossberg Tactical for a great deal on the market place as well.

You cold also pick up a 10/22 and an Archangel body kit for similar money to what the others cost and have access to the unlimited upgrade parts that are available for that gun.

just plinking, i have a browning take down now but i just want something cool at an affordable price that my wife can be comfortable to shoot too. i have looked everywhere and everyone i found is sold out. someone said it was due to u.s election?

If your wife is on the petite side the mossy may be a better option the vtr and sr22 are actually quite heavy for rimfires.

My wife finds my sr22 too heavy for her to shoot comfortably. You may be better off going for something more functional and less tacticool, if your wife isn't going to enjoy it, you're not going to enjoy it ;)

I am interested in picking up a Marlin 725 sometime soon. They are really neat for the price imo, you get a nice action, pretty good medium weight barrel, and last shot hold open (only hitch is the low magazine capacity, 10 rounds). You supposedly can get 15 round magazines for them. One of these is on my short wish list. Best regards Ton

Hahahah funny, no mossberg makes short runs and they are hard to come by. Best to order one!

Looking for Ruger 10/22 I-TAC

Hi Gang,

I am looking to add a tactical .22lr as well. I have run through a Cabelas in Washington State and handled a Ruger 10/22 with an I-TAC stock. Very cool adjustment for the length of pull for any size of shooter.

I cannot locate this online in Canada. It is a TALO distributor exclusive and I don't know of any dealers in Canada with this model.

Here is a link to a US site that sells it. If any-one has spotted this side of the border please let me know.

Just picked up the carry handle version of the Mossberg this past weekend from P&D in Edmonton. They had good stock of both the carry handle and the flattop. Both were cheaper by a few bucks than Cabela's.
Gave her a bit of a cleaning on Sunday and took her out to the range. Put about 200 rounds through her with a total of 3 failure to feeds (supposedly common till the mags get broken in), which were easily remedied...hold the bolt open, turn the gun over and the offending rounds fell out.
At 50 yds was easily getting 3-4" groups offhand, not pulling the trigger as fast as possible...but definitely quickly.
Decided it was definitely a keeper. Ordered a sling, front grip and a Leapers combat red/green dot for it.
It gets an A- on Gun Tests (which is very reputable)...better than a number of guns costing twice the price.
You'll read a number of complaints about the gun...particularly about feeding issues (which is usually mag related and is easy to remedy) and the plastic feel of the gun.
Thing is, as Gun Test found out...it is dead nuts accurate...more accurate at 50 yds than the Colt/Umarex and S&W at twice the price.
And whether it has a lot of plastic or not...it is well built.
