Tactical Imports is bringing them in.

That being said my lady is duel citizenship with America/Canada and her parents live in the mid west, I'm not really sure what the laws are on buying a firearm in the states and bringing it back over the border though it is a option
As well as read up about buying rifles in the states and bringing them back home to Canada with me.
I can save you all kinds of time reading.
NOTHING is legally exportable from the USA in a 50BMG caliber rifle. Period
This even applies to you female counterpart, plain and simple you will not get an export permit approved for a 50BMG thanks to the likes of Diane Feinstein , Swartz###### and Hilary.
So you can narrow your search to Canadian made, European and UK built.

ATR,
So to sum that up I can't get a American friend buy an Canadian/European/UK build in the USA and transfer ownership to me then drive it across the border? Or simply go buy one new or used in the states myself and drive it back? Or have my lady buy one and bring it back then transfer it to me?
If that's the case then thanks for saving me a few trips around the block and hours of reading + phone calls.
Thanks![]()
don't forget that one of the most common injuries with the 50 is detached retinas.
As a general rule, the Firearms Act allows you to import a restricted or non-restricted firearm if you have a valid Possession and Acquisition Licence or Firearms Acquisition Certificate giving you acquisition privileges for that class of firearm. For more information, please refer to the fact sheet on importing firearms.
In order to bring a restricted or non-restricted firearm as a new import, you must be at least 18 years old and have a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) that is valid for the class of firearm you are importing.
When you import firearms from another country, you must comply with Canada’s laws, the laws of the country where the firearms are coming from, and the laws of any other country that the firearms will be passing through.
So is it the USA that would be the problem not allowing export of the firearm?
And please we can leave the smuggling comments out, as that's out of the question, I'm trying keep this thread as mature and professional as possible to gather facts and positive suggestions.
Thank you.
