My post had nothing to do with your post, I meant that I was done with the discussion over the 375s, sorry if you took it the wrong way...

Pretty sure it wont, as it is the better caliber in a cheaper platform. Now that everyone knows about blowing out .300wm brass, there is no shortage of good brass. Dude, the main reason that the .375 H & H isn't in everyone's gun locker is that 1) the guns are usually too expensive for the average Joe to afford. 2) brass is damn expensive
3) ammo availability is not great outside the big cities. 4) It is usually chambered in a big , unweildy, gun with a long barrel that just doesn't fit a lot of people well. The 26" barrel on most H & H guns is just not what people want these days. Plus it's a magnum length action. Too many DINOSAUR reasons to stay on top. The .375 Ruger is the new Alpha Male Dino on the block.
Nah, Remington Jim started it with the dig at the .375 Ruger, so I fired a shot across the bow. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Most factory H&H's don't have 26" barrels, in fact very few do. The CZ's have 25.6" and while they are one of the more common factory rifles they would be one of the few that comes close to that as a standard barrel length offering.
Also, who makes readily available factory ammo for the Ruger? How many companies worldwide make ammo for the H&H? For the latter it is made as standard production ammo by companies from Serbia to Germany to Czech Republic to Sweden to the US to South Africa, and more.
The Ruger is very good and very practical cartridge that I really like but it is a stretch to claim it as vastly superior. It simply isn't.
Try to keep up, the discussion was about factory ammo for the .375 Ruger. Gatehouse said Hornady and Double Tap. I added, Nosler (who makes factory ammo for the .375 Ruger).
Does the Howa in 375 Ruger allow you seat the bullets out a bit, or are you restricted to MAX COAL of 3.34 as per the 375 Ruger specs?
I bought a 375 H&H Remington Stainless and have hunted Africa with it 3 times now.........the best of all worlds...............Howa has most likely dropped that silly chambering, as every one knows it's dying anyway. Now that the Vanguard is being offered in the H&H I would expect you will soon see the Howa in the H&H as well and the Imposter will very shortly be forgotten.
You could always buy a Mossberg in 375 Imposter, I hear they're making them now............what a perfect match.........made in heaven as they say........
