Then you haven't been around long enough.
Not a target shooter (with .22's) but my wife and I do run our CZ rifles "hard" in the gopher patch and we will run a couple hundred rounds each, before we have to reload. (yes I have about a lot of mags). I have had a few mag feed issues, but most are caused by base plates being loose or dirt in the mag itself. Never have the rifle (s) failed to do their job. We run both five and ten round, either plastic or steel mags. We probably shoot close to 5,000 rounds a year and have had the rifles for 10+ years. We shoot only CCI Mini Mags, they have never been an issue (452 and 453 rifles) CCI stingers however do have issues in our rifles. The mouth of the case is rough and basically torn off the front of the case. Now newer rifles may not have the same chamber dimensions as the older rifle but it is something to keep in mind.
