I was wondering which ammo would run reliable in a stock 10/22. It is a carbine, beech stock, metal butt plate, 18.5" barrel?
Background is, a friend and I took the kids out plinking the other day and he had bought his son the above mentioned gun. He had some Remington Thunderbolts and it had 3-4 FTEs on every 10 round mag. I had him try my CCI Standard and Federal 525 but it only improved marginal. The rifle was new and cleaned prior to shooting and appeared in good working order (it was not dry/wet though).
So what ammo does fire/cycle/eject reliable in your 10/22 carbine? Thanks for the feedback.
