Which 5 firearms

Great thread!

Choices, choices...HMMMM

1) 1895G Marlin 45/70: Shoot Mice or Mooses. Too cool not to have. Plus with a 18.5in I can twirl it!! (unloaded of course).

2) Remington 870 shotgun: Again, so versitle, birdshot, buckshot, slugs, upland, waterfoul, deer, skeets, too handy not to have. Gotta love the pump action

3) Ruger 10/22, full little plinking rifle, great for practice and small game. Cheap too!!

4)A nice bolt action: A Sako or Weatherby Mark 5: Somthing for long range big game hunting (200 to 300yards) in a 300win mag or 35 whelen.

5) Ruger handgun: I like single action and double action relovers. A 44mag or 45colt in a Ruger Blackhawk or a Super Redhawk would be tough to beat.

Theres my 5 that would suit me just fine. Although the thought of only owning 5 firearms makes me cringe!!

No Remchesters for this Cowboy if I’m limited to 5. Prepare to be in awe of my 5 amazing firearms.

1. Cooper LVT (Light Varmint/Target) .22 LR
2. Browning Citori 625 Sporting 12 Gauge
3. HK P2000 9mm
4. Sauer 202 Stutzen Elegance .308 Win
5. Sauer 202 LUX .375 H&H

It doesn’t get any better than this boys. I would trade the 20 I own now for these 5 (I think).

Edit: HOLY CRAP, reading though some others top 5 and I am shocked at some peoples choices....takes all kinds I guess. You know some people would not own a handgun if they were limited to 5? Like WTF eh? :p

I'd pick from what I already have instead of a "wish list"
Anschutz 1418 fullstock bolt .22 LR
Sako vixen .222
Sako M85 Greywolf .308
Win Mod 12 12 ga.
and if forced to only one, it would be my Krieghoff Trumpf dural Drilling 16x16x7x57R w/.22mag insert and 3-9 scope in claw mounts.

Ruger 10-22
Sako A1 223
Rem 700Ti 7mm SAUM
Sako AV or CZ 375 H&H
20 guage SXS JP Sauer

I have all these except the 375 and will only buy that if I go back to Africa.

- Remington 870 Marine Magnum Matte Black - 12ga
- Parkerized Springfield 1911 w/ night sights - .45acp
- Remington 700p in .308 w/ good scope & harris bipod
- SKS w/ lots of ammo and tapco stock
- Ruger 10/22 stainless in .22lr obv

OK,...I'll play..

5 eh?...man, that's tough...out of current inventory I'd have to go with my stainless, Butler Creek barreled and stocked 10-22 with Volquartsen trigger and mag release...even though it hasn't held a scope or a magazine for at least two years.....one needs a 22LR

CZ 527 in 221 Fireball....or,...the Sako AI in 17 Rem...for the "once every couple years" that I shoot at gophers...

Rem 700 VS custom in 243 with Kreiger barrel........for the once every couple years that I actually point a rifle at a coyote....

Rem 700 BDL-SS in 7mm STW....in B&C stock, with Timney trigger........I point a rifle at a deer or elk "almost" every year....

Guess I'd have to keep my Win 1300 XTR 20 Gauge pump ,..for the once every three years that I actually look for grouse on purpose.....

This is just an exercise...I could never do it......7 or 8 maybe...5?..never...
