Your a Canadian/Uk soldier, you get to chose which weapon your going to use in combat, pick at least two, three at the most. I will gather all the poll results and do a poll on the most desired friearms in WW2 from the big 4, Russia, Germany, United States and the UK. Will be intresting to see which 3 finally come out on top.

Yes I know I did not do Italty, France or Japan, but do they really count.

Bren gun all the way.

Simple, solid, accurate, powerfull, deadly. Probably the best LMG of the whole war. I wish they still made them.

I know it isn't on your list, but I would pick a Tommy Gun, with a 1911 A1 on my hip.

I'm a southpaw, so I would find anything else uncomfortable as hell to operate in combat effectively.

I love all the GPMG's, but given the limited movement in WWI, I would prefer the sustained fire rates of either of the Vickers. The water cooled units could lay that ammo down as fast and as long as you could link belts together.

Lee Enfield and BHP.

It wasn't a choice in this poll but the Brits & Canucks also used the Thompson .45ACP SMG, which I also would've voted for.... ;)

NAA.

A good ol No4 ! , with a Sten at the ready for close quarter stuff.
...and a 1911Colt in a shoulder holster.
...sac o' gernades
...knee braces

Good choice and from having had the opportunity to use them a bit, as expensive as they were to make in their day, they were second to none:).

I recall a conversation with an older fellow who used the Bren in the field. His complaint was that the cone of fire at range was too small!! I wish all my rifles had that problem.
