Which Bulk Ammo ?

anything but Remingtons.

Remingtons 22 rimfire suck! period. I dont know whats going on but way to many missfires.

Winchester's all ways work and the 333 and 555 are reasonably priced.

My tests are about 2 years old now, but I found nothing wrong with the lower velocity Remingtons. The ultra velocity ones shoot like crap. I don't recall ever having a misfire with Remingtons. The Remington Sub Sonics shot better than some of the low end target stuff from Eley. And the Remington Cyclones shot about the best for the commonly available high velocity stuff. I don't use them because they are almost twice the price of Winchester Dynapoints. The Dynapoints are poorer, but not by much. Here is how the ammo I tested ranked in my Savage BTVS:

Here are some 50 yard groups with the Remington Sub Sonics:

For me it's the winchester 333 packs With a green mountain bull barrel and stock internals I was able to get .479" 10 shot groups at 50yds with 333 ammo. I am sure with an upgraded trigger and bolt that group would shrink even more. Might also help if I was to sort the ammo out by weight and rim thickness.

Bulk federals or 555's for me, my 597 hates cci. But my buddy's norc pistol will eat federals and balks at the winchesters. Its just the way of the beast(s)

Federal 525 has been the best bulk ammo for me.
