Which handgun models are the best for tiny hands?

Isnt that why the gun stores have display cases filled with different gun in different calibers? Just go try them on for size, its the same as buying a pair of jeans.

I'm in Toronto and there is only one store and they cannot have every "small" gun. I'd buy online if there is something better.

I'd vote for a P226 E2, Elite if you can find one. I had an E2, sold it, got an E2 Elite, and loved them both. My daughters all love shooting it as the grips are quite slim.

1911 Commander. It's nicely proportioned and can be fitted for smaller hands with thin grips and a short trigger. Gazillions of people over a very long time can't be wrong. In a "modern" smaller 9mm, try the Ruger SR 9

I have tiny hands also. I tried m&p with medium grip and it was much too big. I cant imagine the small grip makes much difference. S&W 686 was a little too much as well. Was considering 1911 (kimber aegis 9mm) but im lefty and really want ambi controls.

I think the only option left to try for me is cz85 with thin grips

You don't say what you want the gun for. I shoot Tanfoglio guns in the games and have the Xtreme thin aluminum grips. The frame of the Tanfos is also slim. Try the CZ line with the thin grips. Alot of people like the CZ and Tanfo feel

ive got a nice big selection of guns and i have what i would call medium hands.
for poly center fire guns Ruger SR9 is by far the smallest grip i have shot (and own) and it is marketed or was initially marketed for female officers and small to medium hand sized men.
glock no, M&P no, CZ no. i have them all and the SR9 is way smaller.
boberg i cant speak too but they are $$.

for the price i would say try out a Ruger SR9.
its at the low end of the entry level guns for price and is good quality and is easy to resell if you find you dont like it.

this sparked a interest in me so i went and got some guns out and did some measurements.
M&P with small grip 30.0mm
M&P with small RUFF texture grip 31.3mm
M&P with Medium grip 32.8mm
M&P with Large grip 35.6mm
Glock 17 Gen 3 30.3mm
Ruger SR9 30.0mm
Sig 226 34.1mm
1911 commander with wood grips 33.5mm
1911 commander with Hogue grips 32.9mm
Ruger 22/45 Lite with Hogue grips 30.5mm
S&W 422 32-34mm (grips flair our at bottom)

The TT33 has a notoriously slim profile and a short thin grip.
I have medium sized hands and I find it a very easy pistol to handle.
Cheaper than dirt and very reliable, plenty of punch. It's awesome.
Handle one if you get a chance. You may like it a lot.

I always joke that if in a close gun fight, or if someone was barging through my front door, I Would NOT feel under-gunned with a Tokarev. It is damn reliable and anyone who has fired one has felt the shockwave in their chest. I have fairly small hands and even I find it tiny. It certainly is small, but look up the data. The 7.62x25 aint no joke. Just buy one,,,,,,,,,,,or two. Kick ass little guns.

The Boberg appeals on several levels. It's small but has a regulation barrel and can chuck some serious destructive power. Being a gear head, I also like that it's different and elegant mechanically. I don't know what it's like to shoot but I assume better than other guns of the same overall size.

K frame Smiths are out. Too big due to the daft shape. A J frame would work, except most of 'em are too evil for Canada.
Try a Ruger GP and a BHP. No 4" barrels for you either. Too evil. You can try and find a 4"+ Ruger though.
In any case, the weight of a handgun is held up by your wrists more than your hands. Your hands will be busy absorbing the felt recoil.
Your best bet is to go shopping and try on a bunch of different handguns and grips if the shop has 'em and will let you(Mondays are the best day for that).

So you're saying the sr9 has a grip that is only 0.3mm thinner than a glock or m&p?? According to others above the difference is noticeable  It would appear that 1911's aren't so slim either, who knew...
