Which is the Quietest Air Rifle?

No kidding...just a "click" from my Mossberg bolt action using CB's...quieter than any pellet rifle I've seen.

what about an air force talon ss? it has a barrel shroud that is suppost to slow down the air to make it quite. there is another mod on youtube that you can do to the barrel to make it even more quite.

See if you can find 22 low velocity (740ft/s) remington have them in short and I beleive this year they come in 22 long, very quiet.

I shoot a lot of air rifle and 22 in the backyard. The 177 air rifle will penetrade one side of a tin (steel) can. The 22 air rifle will penetrate both sides. These are spring guns, and make some noise.

For 22 we shoot the Aquilla Super Colbri. A Long case with a short bullet, no powder, but extra primer. in a rifle it makes much less noise than the air rifle. I would give it 50 yards of accurate killing range on little critters. Velocity is about 600 fps.

These can only be purchased in the USA.

I have not tried the CB rounds for comparison.

The Talon SS isn't available in Canada with the shroud.

I have a pre ban TX200 AA 177 with barrel compensator, sounds like a Diana M24, but is in 900 fps range, they are out there.

The quietest airguns are the ones with factory silencers we can't own in Canada.For the UK's love of gun control they can be purchased through the mail over there ? Makes no sense like most Govt's..........................Harold

Correction... I just bought an Air Arms S410 Xtra form airgunsource that has a factory built shroud with baffle and it's so quite that when set on low power (500fps) you think the rifle ran out of air and set on high (1000fps) it sounds like a Red Rider BB rifle.
